Omotola Jalade Condemns Comparison of Artistes – African Entertainment

Nollywood actress, Omotola Jalade Ekeinde has unequivocally condemned the practice of comparing artistes in the entertainment industry. She considers it a counter-productive tool that destroys women, great relationship and breeds strife among the compared artistes.

Omotola revealed this yesterday when an entertainment blog did a comparison of Omoni Oboli, Uche Jombo Rodriquez, Ufuoma Mcdermott and Chioma Akpotha, the top 4 characters in the block buster movie ‘Wives on Strike’ and asked fans to pick their favourite.

Some fans shared Omotola’s view, but others kicked against it, saying comparisons bring out the best in the artists because it encourages them to put in more effort. Some also questioned why she is just speaking up about comparisons now when herself and Genevieve Nnaji have always been subjects of comparison in the entertainment industry.

Are you for or against comparisons?
